When you were saved, you became a Child of the Only Living God and received the Gift of Eternal Life and the indwelling Holy Spirit. Salvation is the beginning of a New Life in Christ. Throughout your life after Salvation, you must seek to grow in God and get closer to Him. A closer walk with God is not a burden, but a blessing.
So, how to grow spiritually with God?
Grow in God by strengthening the Relationship with Christ
Like any other relationship, your relationship with Christ gets strengthened by your communication with Him. Spend quality time in Prayer and Bible Reading.
Obedience pleases God. Those who love Jesus will seek to follow His commandments. Faith results in Obedience, Obedience gets us closer and closer to God and brings more peace and joy. If you keep disobeying God deliberately and live a sinful lifestyle, you cannot grow in God.

Sharing the Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ is a privilege with huge Eternal Significance. It is God who changes the heart of individuals and draws them to Salvation. However, He uses His Children for this, that we may share His Glory and Eternal Rewards.
Grow in God by being a disciple and making disciples
We are not called to just live, but to make a difference in the World, for Christ and through His Spirit.
Loving fellow Christians means to help them Walk in the Light and be the Salt of the Earth, along with you. You must not hold the things of the world tightly. You must be ready to give them up if God wants you to. Picking up the cross means, willingness to give up anything and everything you have, if God asks you to.
