Knowing God’s Purpose for us

God's-purpose-for-us.html

Every blood-bought child of God has a God-given purpose to fulfil. We are not called to just sit idle and wait for stepping into Heaven, but to accomplish what God wants us to do in this life.

Ephesians 2: 10 – For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

There is huge eternal value in finding and fulfilling God’s plan for your life.

Knowing God’s Purpose for us: The inevitable appointment with the best Consultant of the Universe

Have you ever wondered what exactly God’s purpose for you is? Before you set a new goal, you must seek God’s guidance. This is crucial. Without God, we can do nothing fruitful. Prayer is never a waste of time. God is capable of making you accomplish what you cannot accomplish by your own strength, even if you try for a lifetime.

God’s word gives wisdom and understanding. There is no wisdom apart from God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding.

Psalms 32:8 - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Knowing God’s Purpose for us: How to be sure that you are in the right direction?

Walking closer to God through prayer, soaking yourself in God's Word, obedience, and surrendering to God's will is all you can do. When you desire God's will and have a closer walk with God, you can be sure that God will lead you.

When you turn to the left or to the right, God will lead you through His Word, His people, circumstances and various other ways.

Isiah 30:21

And your ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Knowing God’s Purpose for us: Your Vision must be Spiritual. It is Spiritual if…

A vision that glorifies God is spiritual. We are spiritual people and are called to serve and glorify God in all places. A vocation of preparing reports is as significant as a vocation of serving in a Church. The world needs people with different skills, purposes and visions to function. This is God’s design. We are called to be the light and salt of the earth and make an impact for God wherever He places us.

Every Christian is a full-time missionary and a full-time church. Whatever you do, do it for God and His glory.

Colossians 3:23

“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”

1 Corinthians 3:16 - Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Your body is the temple of God and so you carry Him wherever you go! The temple should be clean and full of light!

Luke 16:11 - If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true [riches]?

Knowing God’s Purpose for us: Focus on God’s glory

Our purpose on earth is to glorify God. If you want to truly know God’s purpose for you, you must focus on God’s glory and not your own.

1 Corinthians 10:31 - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Knowing God’s Purpose for us: Redefining success

Success is not just at the end. On every step of the way to your purpose, success is about pleasing God.

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Kings 2:3 - And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:
