5 New Month Reminders and Bible Verses

1) We have a very short time left on earth to waste in sin, laziness, and lethargy. The day of Christ is near and our eternal rewards depend on how we live here on earth.

Romans 13:11 - And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Our future glory and time of Judgement for believers(Judgement Seat of Christ) is nearing.

2) Made terrible mistakes in the past and have a lot of regrets? Don't worry. Our God is the God of second chances. He doesn't find pleasure in punishing even the rebellious but desires that they would repent and turn to Him.

If you are willing and ready, He can restore the fruits and blessings of the wasted years.

Isaiah 43

18 Remember ye, not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Joel 2:25

22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. 23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. 24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. 27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

3) Provoke yourself and other Christians to love God and flourish in good works. Be an example to other believers and unbelievers

Hebrews 10:24-25 - And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

4) Want blessings from God? Ask him, but don't make any gift from God an idol. Be willing to lose it all if God wants you to. Check your motivation behind the ask. Jabez asked for a blessing and God granted his request so that he can be a blessing to others

1 Chronicles 4:10 - And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

5) Blessings often follow obedience. Though obedience to God does not guarantee a trouble-free life in this world, it often increases the chances of peaceful living and blessings.

Isaiah 1:19 - If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

James 1:22 - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

John 14:15 - If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Luke 6:46 - And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Romans 6:16 - Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
